Big List Of FREE Omaha Trunk Or Treats (2025)

There is no shortage of fun things to do for Halloween in Omaha — I have a whole blog post with a complete list of Halloween events in Omaha, after all. But sorting through all of it is tough if all you want to know about are the free trunk or treats. So, I’ve saved you the time and gathered all the free Halloween trick-or-treat (and trunk or treat) events in Omaha for 2025 into one list. Enjoy!

Please note that many of these events are planned for the outdoors and are subject to the weather cooperating.

  • Trunk or Treat at the La Vista Police Department, 7701 S. 96th St., La Vista, Neb., is Oct. 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Trick-or-treat from the back of cruisers and motorcycles, plus enjoy photo ops with officers and free hot dogs.
  • Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers locations host trunk or treats or free ice cream for kids in costume this year, including 7419 Dodge St. (Oct. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.), 5210 S. 136th St. (Oct. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.), 2920 S. 180th St. (Oct. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.), 3465 N. 168th Court, suite 2243 (Oct. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.), 2920 S. 180th St. (Oct. 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.), and 7201 Military Ave. (Oct. 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.).
  • Regency Trunk N Treat is Oct. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Omaha Marriott, 10220 Regency Circle.
  • Field of Treats is Oct. 28 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Iowa West Sportsplex, 3260 Mid America Drive, Council Bluffs, Iowa. The event is free, indoors, and open to all ages.
  • Kids Halloween Parade and Trick or Treating is Oct. 29 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Papillion Landing, 1046 W. Lincoln St., Papillion, Neb.
  • Trunk & Eat is Oct. 29 from 5 to 6:15 p.m. at Divine Shepherd, 15005 Q St. Bring the kids (ages 0-fifth grade) in their favorite costumes to trick-or-treat in the upper parking lot,. Then, head inside for a free kids’ meal in the gym, plus family activities.
  • Angel Guardian’s Inc.’s Annual Trunk Or Treat is Oct. 30 from 3 to 5 p.m. at 15677 Spaulding St. Includes the ArtWorks Haunted House.
  • Trick or Treat at Oak View Mall, 3001 S. 144th St. at the Food Court entrance, on Oct. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. There will also be games, art activities and music.
  • La Vista Fallo Ween is Oct. 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. outside the La Vista Community Center, 8116 Park View Blvd., La Vista, Neb. Enjoy the hayrack ride, photo ops, games and activities. Plus, have a free walking taco for dinner and take home a pre-filled Halloween treat bag. 
  • dog-friendly Trunk-or-Treat at The Green Spot Omaha parking lot, 1110 S. 71st St., Suite K, is Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. 
  • Harvest Fest, an alternative to Halloween but still includes candy, is Oct. 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church, 3131 Lake St., featuring carnival games, popcorn, caramel apples, face painting, balloon artists, video games, foosball, ping pong, electronic basketball, pumpkin decorating, sack races, movies, DJ and more.
