Game Night: Where To Play Bingo In Omaha

My earliest memories of Bingo games involved going to a large bingo parlor with my grandma and using one of her brightly-colored daubers to cover numbers as they’re called out. Old-school Bingo. That still exists, if that’s the kind of Bingo you like. In Omaha, though, bars and restaurants have stared up weekly nights of Music Bingo and it’s growing in popularity. Here’s a look at where you can play Bingo in Omaha, no matter which version you like.

Things to know before you go

Bingo nights are typically a low-key weekly activity at bars, one that isn’t going to be listed on upcoming events pages. Check Omaha Music Bingo first to see if the location you’re planning on going to has a time listed. I’ve found most Bingo nights start at around 7 p.m. Your other option is to call ahead of time to verify start time.

Then again, it’s a low-key thing, so you can usually just show up and start playing in the middle of the event.

In most instances, you will not need to bring anything with you besides the usual purse/wallet, ID, etc. If you go to the Blondo Bingo Hall, you may want to bring your own daubers to mark your card. A dauber is an ink pen with a fat, round tip that you use to mark off a number when it’s called.

About Music Bingo

Rather than waiting for a letter and number to be called out, during Music Bingo you listen for a song to play. When you identify the name of that song, you look for it on your Bingo card and then, hopefully, mark it off. If it’s a theme night, better hope you’re familiar with the genre or decade.
