It’s unavoidable sometimes: You have a large group that you need to feed but you’re not sure where to go. Omaha has a lot of restaurants for large groups, fortunately. Depending on the amount of people, and whether you want a private space or just really large tables, there’s a restaurant for you.

Omaha restaurants for groups smaller than 15 people
When I coached soccer, we’d celebrate the end of the season with pizza. The obvious choice for a group that could range in size of about 10 to 20 was a pizza place. Three that have worked well for us in the past was Mama’s Pizza in Midtown (with no prior reservation!), 715 N. Saddle Creek Road, Omaha, Neb.; Big Fred’s Pizza Garden and Lounge (also no reservation!), 1101 S. 119th St., Omaha, Neb.; and Godfather’s Pizza at Aksarben Village (which we reserved the party room), 2117 S. 67th St., Omaha, Neb.
Sullivan's Steakhouse, 222 S. 15th St., Suite 100, Omaha, Neb., has four private dining rooms, including one to accommodate a group up to 15.
Omaha restaurants for groups between 16-25 people
I’ve been in small side room at Brazen Head Irish Pub, 319 N. 78th St., Omaha, Neb., on more than one occasion. We’ve celebrated a birthday on my husband’s side of the family, where we were seated and ordered from menus. There were 14 of us, I think. According to the restaurant, it can seat up to 24.
Blue Sushi Sake Grill Grayhawk Pointe, 14450 Eagle Run Drive, Omaha, Neb., has a private dining room to accommodate up to 25 people. The Old Market location, 416 S. 12th St., Omaha, Neb., can seat larger groups in private spaces.
Hiro 88 Old Market, 1308 Jackson St., Omaha, Neb., has a private dining area that can accommodate up to 24 people. The restaurant can also be rented out to accommodate up to 175 people. Hiro 88 West Omaha, 3655 N. 129th St., Omaha, Neb., can accommodate a group up to 24 in its private dining area.
Roja Mexican Grill + Margarita Bar West, 17010 Wright Plaza, Omaha, Neb., can accommodate groups of 20 more on short notice; and if it's 30 or more, it can be arranged with a two-day notice. Call (402) 333-7652.
The Old Mattress Factory Bar and Grill, 501 N. 13th St., Omaha, Neb., has several party rooms to accommodate groups of 20 on up to 300 people.
Omaha restaurants for groups of 25 or more people
I remember trying to arrange a surprise party for my husband’s birthday once, and Upstream Brewing Co., 514 S. 11th St. Omaha, Neb., seemed as good of place as any to reserve. There are several options (mostly semi-private) for casual gatherings of groups 35 on up. They also have a party room that seats up to 85 people.
