How To Get Lion King Discount Tickets

If you haven’t heard, “Disney’s The Lion King” is returning to Omaha in 2024. While it is definitely long even by Broadway standards, the show is familiar and fun and great for kids. But if you’re bringing the entire family to see a Broadway show, you’re going to want to save money on tickets, right? Keep reading to see how you can get discount tickets!

Are there any discounts for Lion King tickets?

“Disney’s The Lion King” will run Feb. 29 through March 24, 2024 at the Orpheum Theater. O-Pa has designed March 17 as Kid’s Night On Broadway, which means there is a buy one get one free discount code! Use BWAYKIDS24 to get the BOGO tickets to the 6:30 p.m. show on March 17 (valid on price levels 1-3 while supplies last).

One cool thing about Kid’s Night On Broadway is that is that there will be pre-show activities starting at 5:30 p.m. and the first 100 kids to arrive will get a free goody bag.

There’s a lottery system set up to get a limited number of $49 seats to “Disney’s The Lion King.” To enter the Lucky Seat drawing, you’ll have to go to sign up at Lucky Seat by Feb. 23 at 9:30 a.m. CST.

Another good option for saving money on tickets is to purchase tickets in person at the Ticket Omaha Box Office. You save on ticketing fees when you buy them in person instead of online. The Ticket Omaha Box Office is located inside the Holland Performing Arts Center at 1200 Douglas St.

Ticket Omaha is the official ticket seller for the Orpheum Theater. Be wary of buying tickets for third party ticketing vendors, as prices may be higher or if there’s a problem with the seats, you have no one to go to. I always buy from Ticket Omaha.

Is Disney’s The Lion King Broadway show different from the movie?

Well, if you’ve seen the movie, then you are pretty familiar with “Disney’s The Lion King.” What I remember most of the live performance from the first time I saw it was the stunning puppetry. The opening scene is impressive and you won’t forget it.

Giraffes strut. Birds swoop. Gazelles leap. The entire Serengeti comes to life as never before. And as the music soars, Pride Rock emerges from the mist.

More than 100 million people around the world have experienced the visual artistry, the music and the theatrical storytelling of this Broadway spectacular.

The story is pretty much the same. The big difference between the live stage show and the movie is the length of the performance is much longer than the movie.

Plan dinner and theater in downtown Omaha

Part of the fun of going to the theater is making it a complete date. I compiled a list of some of my favorite downtown restaurants for families. Of course, if you’re taking teens, you may be able to broaden the scope of restaurants for your night out, so here’s a complete guide to Old Market restaurants.
