Meditation Classes
Meditation Classes are held Fridays and Saturdays at the southeast corner of Standing Bear Lake. Use the 132nd Street and Himebaugh Avenue parking lot. Minimum age for the class is 10 years old. Bring a towel, a pillow to sit on (optional), comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes, and a jacket or a blanket to keep warm.

Park naturalists at Platte River State Park will host beginner astronomy activities Fridays in October. Make a constellation, use a star chart to identify seasonal stars, examine a moon globe and compare it to the moon you see in the sky and more. Use what you learn late at night as the stars become visible....
