Highlights include the farm's famous watermelon slushie, watermelon bus rides, watermelon eating contest, seed spitting contest, hayrack ride, face painting, Tri-ath-melon, all-you-can-eat watermelon buffet, exploding watermelon, and live music. The Durham Museum celebrates Root Beer Float Day each year by giving away a free 8 oz. Root Beer Float (while supplies last) at the museum's old-fashioned Soda Fountain.
