Walnut Grove Park
Description
Walnut Grove Park was one of my favorite neighborhood parks growing up in Millard. It’s a large wooded space along the busy Q Street area. The playground has been updated since my childhood, luckily.
The playground isn’t as large as you’d expect for such a large green space, but it has some nice features like a saucer swing and a couple of slides. It’s a sand playground with rubber padding leading up to the swing areas; in addition to the saucer swing, there are baby and traditional swings. There’s also climbing wall, merry go round, and toddler bouncer that’s shaped like a dinosaur.
There is plenty of parking.

- The wooded park is a big draw for Walnut Grove Park. There's a lake and a bridge to cross over it.
- Paved walking trails throughout the park.
- You'll find plenty of shaded picnic tables, and two pavilions in the park.
- Restrooms are located near the picnic shelters.
- For treats, there's a Culver's a short drive west of the park, as well as a gas station and Scooters.
