Walnut Creek Recreation Area

This playground seems to be kept up very well. The equipment is in great condition and the area itself is clean! The playground equipment Includes two racer slides (straight), a tall twisty slide, and a curvy slide. There are a couple different climbing structures, two types of ladders and the other is cubed steps. Also has a corkscrew pole. There is a bridge connecting two halves of the main structure. There is a digger in the sand as well as a sit-on seahorse springy toy. Notably, there are no swings.

It’s not really an accessible playground. There is a path connecting from the parking lot to the playground. But the entire playground is sand, and steps are required to get onto the equipment.

There are two pavilions, both with multiple picnic tables, that provide some shade in the area. There are two benches under tree cover, and the entire park will be mostly under tree cover in the summer months. During the winter there is virtually no shade.
