Val Verde Park
Description
Val Verde Park is a tough park to find if you don’t live in the neighborhood (maybe that’s the point). It’s a nice, newer playground. There three metal slides (two swirly, one straight), plus a good variety of climbing options for different ages/abilities. There’s a small swing set with a baby swing and traditional swing.
There isn’t any shade over the playground itself, though the equipment provides some shade with the little canopies on top. You can cool off at the picnic pavilion, which has several picnic tables, and the gazebo that shades several benches.
Val Verde Park has a lot of green space with a paved trail throughout.

- There’s a small parking lot and street parking. The address listed takes you to a neighborhood street where you'll need to look for the paved trail that will take you to the playground behind all the homes. There's also a small parking lot that's to the east of the park, and that also has a trail that leads to the playground. Either way you park, you're walking a good distance.
