Description

It’s forgivable if you know this playground but you just don’t know the name of it. Stinson Park often is referred to as “that park in Aksarben Village.” Located in a large green space in this neighborhood that’s a mix of offices, shops and restaurants, Stinson Park is small but popular. The playground is on rubber covering, and the equipment is geared toward younger kids.

The central piece of the playground consists of a couple small slides, a few short ladders, and swings (one baby swing, the rest traditional swings). There’s a nearby pavilion that provides shades for benches.

Because of the Omaha Farmer’s Market, it’s a very popular playground on Sunday mornings from May to early October. There’s also a tiny sprayground near the tower in Stinson Park that operates during the summer months.
