Horizon Park
Description
Horizon Park is a small neighborhood park that’s fairly hidden away from though traffic. Overall, it’s not a very exciting park to seek out unless you live in this neighborhood.
The playground is a mix of sand and rubber flooring in a small section of a large green space. There are two slides, including one for toddlers. It’s mostly a playground for climbing, with a climbing wall, ladders, and other climbing elements. The park also has two bouncers, two baby swings and two traditional swings. It did have an interesting cylinder to run and balance on; I haven’t see one of those at many other parks.
Other amenities in the park include three picnic tables, a tennis court, and basketball court.

- Like most neighborhood playgrounds there are no restrooms.
- Parking is street-only.
- This park is a good distance from restaurants or gas stations. The best option for snacks is at the intersection of 114th and Dodge. Local options in that area include Stories Coffee and Pettit's Bakery. Fast food options include Dairy Queen, McDonalds, and Starbucks.
