Harvey Oaks Park
Description
Harvey Oaks Park is a large green space in a neighborhood that has two playgrounds (maybe more…I just found the two). The official address listed for the park will get you to the baseball field just south of the first playground. The nice thing is that the two playgrounds are linked by a paved trail.
The first playground, I’ll call the south Harvey Oaks playground, is by Arbor Street. The equipment is better suited for younger children. There is a tube slide and two side-by-side straight racer slides. There are both baby swings and traditional swings. The whole playground is mostly sand with some rubber flooring near platforms.
The north playground (located by Shirley Street) is also sandy, and the big draw there is a tall rope climber. There’s also a swirly slide and more swings.
Both playgrounds are pretty well shaded by tall trees, especially late afternoon. They both also have some picnic tables.

The park is officially located at 14948 W. Center Road, though the playgrounds are on Arbor Street between South 151st and South 152nd streets and Shirley Street between South 151st and South 152nd streets.
