Glenwood Hills Park
Description
This is a large neighborhood park consisting of three main play areas, a backstop, and a basketball court. The main play structure is quite run-down, with a lot of rusted areas and chipped paint. It includes a large curvy slide, a straight slide, a curved slide, and a pair of racer slides. There is a bridge, monkey bars, a tic-tac-toe board, a curved ring ladder, a traditional ladder, and a fire pole.
The smaller structure includes another pair of racer slides, a straight slide, and a bumpy kind-of straight slide. There is also another activity board as well as a spiral climber. The swing area includes two traditional and two baby swings. Surrounding the play structures is a digger, a springy car toy, another straight slide, and a large climbing wall.
The ground cover is a mix of mulch, sand and rubber padding. As far as shade goes, there is a large pavilion that provides the majority of the shade. Otherwise, the playground equipment has some built-in shades and there is quite a bit of tree coverage surrounding the playground (with benches and picnic tables underneath).
