Faulkland Park
Description
Faulkland Park feels like it was made for that sweet spot of childhood — especially for kids in the 5–12 age range who want just enough challenge without it feeling overwhelming. The playground sits among tons of tall trees, giving it a shaded, cozy feel that’s especially appreciated on warmer days. The equipment leans a little more toward older kids, which makes it a great option if your crew is past the toddler stage.
One of the standout features is the cement walking trail that loops around the park. It’s perfect for bikes, scooters, or even that one child who insists on bringing rollerblades. Meanwhile, mom can keep an eye on everyone without constantly relocating.
There are picnic tables, a shelter, and even a couple of charcoal grills, making it a solid spot for a longer stay or a casual lunch outing. Parking is easy with a dedicated lot, which is always a plus.
The main downside is the lack of bathrooms, so again — plan ahead. But otherwise, the park is well laid out and easy to navigate.
Overall, Faulkland Park is a peaceful, shaded, and well-rounded park that works especially well for slightly older kids and families who like to linger a bit.
