Camenzind Park

Camenzind Park has some of the oldest playground equipment I’ve come across in the Metro. The bouncers and merry go round appear to have seen better days. They could use a paint job or total replacement. The swing set and basketball hoop look a little less worn down. There’s also an old glider swing. 

It’s not all old stuff, through. There is some newer looking equipment in a sandy area with four slides (bumpy slide, swirly slide, and two racer slides). Since it’s plastic, it has weathered better than all the metal stuff.

I’m hesitant to mark categorize the park as having green space. It’s a mix of dry, patches of grass and dirt. There is a picnic area that’s covered, and even that cover looks old. On the plus side, there is a water fountain here.

This is not a playground I’d tell anyone to seek out.
