Benson Park
Description
There’s a lot to like about Benson Park’s playground, but the biggest is its intentional design. It’s an accessible playground, with two ramps on to the playground equipment, as well as accessible swings. The ground covering is all rubber, too, making movement easy for wheelchairs, strollers, and those who are less mobile walkers.
Near the playground, you’ll find a large sprayground (open from late May to early September), as well as basketball courts. The portapotties are located near the basketball courts, on the southeast side of the park.
The park is a large, wooded park with plenty of share, plenty of picnic tables, and a pavilion covering more tables. There’s a walking trail around the lake. The lake itself is a catch and release lake for fishing.
Plenty of parking.
