Bemis Park
Description
Bemis Park is technically a neighborhood park, but it’s got a little more going for it than the typical one. It combines old and new with its playground, and it works really well. For the old, the playground has train-themed equipment in a sandy area. This includes a little engine with a slide, a sandbox, and a tunnel to crawl through. Each piece looks like a train car. It’s super cute and my kids loved it when they were little.
Now for the new. The park has much new playground equipment that’s placed over rubber flooring. It’s brightly colored, and has a mix of climbing elements, a curvy slide, and balancing stuff. The newer area will appeal to older kids, for sure. The park also has some swings with both traditional and baby swings.
The playground is located in a green space that’s lower than street level. There’s a nearby picnic area that’s covered. The park has new tennis and pickleball courts, and a paved walking path.
