Bay Meadows Park
Description
Bay Meadow Park feels like a hidden little neighborhood playground that’s perfect for a slower, more imaginative kind of playday. From a mom’s point of view, it’s less about bells and whistles and more about simple fun.
The standout feature here is the sand—this is the park where you absolutely throw digging trucks, buckets, and shovels into the car before heading out. Kids who love to dig, build, and get messy will be in their element.
There are a couple of picnic tables for snack time, plus both basketball and tennis courts nearby, which is great if you’ve got older kids tagging along who want something more active. The swings are simple—two baby swings and two regular ones—but they get the job done.
That said, this park definitely requires a little planning. There’s no parking lot, so you’ll be finding street parking in the neighborhood. There are also no bathrooms, which means this is more of a “short and sweet” outing unless you live nearby.
Overall, Bay Meadow Park is charming in its simplicity. It’s not the place for a full-day outing, but it’s perfect for a relaxed morning where the kids can dig in the sand and mom can enjoy a slower pace.
