Celebrating 12 Years: Oh My! Omaha Birthday Giveaways
March 2025 marks the 12th anniversary of the start of Oh My! Omaha. If you’ve never heard my story, well then…Hi, nice to meet you. I’m Kim. I write Oh My! Omaha. I had a lot of grand ideas for this blog back in 2013, and the primary goal was to write about all the things to do in Omaha. Being a native of Omaha, and having spent more than six years writing about Omaha-Council Bluffs stuff professionally, I figured I had some perspective worth sharing. Plus, my kids were only 1 and 3 years old and as we explored the city together, I wanted to write about it.
My first stories published in March 2013. They were…fine. Please don’t look them up, though.
Slowly, but steadily, I honed my voice, and grew this blog to a multi-platform digital publisher sending out emails to thousands, and the occasional social media posts to tens of thousands.
And I added travel writing.
And the weekly Omaha Planner and Omaha Dining Digest.
And a Patreon Page.
And a podcast.
And speaking engagements.
I’m extremely proud of where Oh My! Omaha has taken me. For two years I’ve been able to do this full-time, my one and only job. That may change, but man, am I glad I had this chance. So, I wanted to celebrate. I’ve partnered with some of my favorite Omaha places for 12 days of giveaways.
