Description

Hitchcock Nature Center park has two slides. It has one tall curvy slide, and there is one racer slide. The park has traditional swings, a zip line, a spider web-like climber. The playground equipment is in good condition.

There is shade areas on the playground equipment and underneath the playground equipment. There is a pavilion that has picnic tables and offers a good amount of shade. There are also trees nearby with picnic tables underneath.

The playground does not have much accessibility features. There is not any pavement leading up to the playground. There is grass around the outside edge of the playground, and the playground has pea gravel. There are 14 miles of hiking trails but most are not paved. There is a boardwalk that typically is good for those with mobility issues but it is currently closed (May 2026) due to storm damage.
