Valley View Park
Description
The design of the Valley View Park is great for children of various ages. There are four types of slides; the two larger slides consists of a curvy slide and a straight tunnel slide, and the two smaller slides include a straight slide and one small racer slide (two lanes).
There are three types of swings, including traditional swings, a baby swing, and one adaptive swing seat. There condition of the equipment is overall good, but could use some paint or touch ups in a few spots.
The playground’s flooring is a mix of pea gravel with rocks and some rubber flooring leading to the adaptive swing.
As far as accessibility goes, there are handicap accessible parking spaces near the park. There is a paved path leading to the playground. There is also rubber padding leading to the adaptive swing.
There is a picnic shelter that provides some shade. There are trees in the open grassy area surround the park. The park has a tunnel that has shade, and there are several shady areas under the equipment.
The shelter would be great for a picnic outing at the park. I would recommend tennis shoes because of the pea gravel.
