Roberts Park
Description
Roberts Park is mostly known for its stellar skatepark, and then maybe its baseball field. The playground is a bit of an afterthought, but it’s there (you just have to look for it a little). The park is a sand park, with the typical playground structures found in a neighborhood park, with the addition of a couple of diggers and a slider zipline (I’m not sure how to describe it…you don’t sit down on the zipline thingy, you hold onto it with your hands).
There are a few swings, both baby and traditional. There are two cute bouncers, that may appeal to the really little ones. The playground structure itself is a coupe of slides and some climbing features.
Robert Park is fairly large with a lot of green space. There’s one picnic table you’d totally miss if you weren’t looking for it; it’s on the hill to the east of the playground.

Additional Info
- The closest spot for refreshments near Roberts Park is Scooters. There's also a Hy-Vee that's just on the other side of the creek.
- There aren't bathroom or portapotty facilities at the playground. Your best bet is Hy-Vee or to walk the trail to the north, where there usually is one by the baseball fields on Western Avenue.
