Description

We absolutely love this park and visit it often. I have a 1- and 3-year-old, and it works well for these ages overall. The playground does get fairly tall, so I do need to keep a close eye on my 1-year-old when he starts climbing, but it’s still very usable for younger kids. Equipment at the playground includes a smaller slide that’s great for kids under 2, plus two large curvy slides. There are baby swings and traditional swings. Unique equipment include a climbing wall, spinner and activity board.

One of my favorite things about this park is how clean and well-maintained it is. It’s also tucked away from the street, which gives me so much peace of mind not having to worry about cars nearby. There’s a beautiful green space and a pond a short walk from the playground that’s just lovely to spend time near.

The amenities are great too — a nice pavilion for eating, a basketball court for older kids, and even a grill.

The only downside is that occasionally groups of teenagers ride dirt bikes through the area. While they usually stay a decent distance from the playground, it still makes me nervous with little kids around.

Overall, it’s a wonderful park and one of our favorites despite that occasional issue.

Additional Information
- This park unfortunately doesn’t have many trees, so shade is limited. There is a pavilion for cover, and some shaded space beneath the playground where kids can play in the sand and stay a bit cooler. That said, it’s definitely not the best park choice on very hot days.
- No bathrooms.
- There's free street parking.
- Hungry? Nearby, there's J. Gorgas Deli & Market, Double Zero Pizza, Nékter Juice Bar, Scooter’s Coffee, QDOBA Mexican Eats, and two grocery stores (Family Fare and ALDI).
