Memorial Park has a playground that’s well-shaded and enjoyed by families that live in the nearby neighborhood. The equipment is well-maintained and includes a curvy and a fast slide; both traditional and baby swings; a few bouncers; and some fun plastic instruments to bang. There are a few climbing features, including a climbing wall. It’s a mostly sand-covered playground, though there is some rubber covering by the swings.

It’s nestled between tall trees, so it’s usually shaded. Memorial Park is popular for walkers and runners, with paved trails around the park and through the park. If you’re feeling adventurous, there’s also a dirt trail through the trees lining the creek near the playground.

Important Information

The playground is located at 5750 Dodge St., Omaha, Neb. Memorial Park itself is fairly large, so know that the playground is located on the west side of the park, with easy access by trail if you park at the small parking lot on Underwood Avenue.

Additional Information

- No bathrooms.
- There are picnic tables, but they aren't next to the playground. They're located closer to Underwood Avenue.
- Memorial Park is also home to a rose garden and memorials dedicated to those who served in World War II. The park also has a baseball field.
- There's a small parking lot off Western Avenue. If that lot is full, check the circle drive up by the monument just to the east of the park.
- The best place for a treat near Memorial Park is eCreamery in Dundee.
