Iowa West Foundation Trailhead Park
Description
Iowa West Foundation Trailhead Park is a small quaint park. It’s perfect for an afternoon or evening outing. My family loves to play at the playground, take a short walk on the trail, and stop for ice cream at one of our favorite local ice cream shops. I recommend tennis shoes for this park because of the pea gravel.
This park has a tunnel slide and a racer slide. It has two swings, including one traditional swing and one baby swing, and a climbing ladder.
There is not much in the ways of accessibility at the playground. There are wide platforms on the equipment, and several handicaps/accessible parking spaces near the park. There is also a paved pathway leading up to playground area.
There isn’t much shade, just some shady spots under the equipment and a picnic shelter directly next to the playground. There are also trees around the outskirts of the playground area, which provide some shade.
