Description

Halleck Park has three separate playgrounds. The first play structure at the front of the park is in great condition and has about almost every single play feature you could imagine, like twisty slides, climbing features, swings (including infant swings and a tire swing) see saw, spinning chairs. The play structure is multi-level and good for all ages. This playground has plenty of benches, picnic tables under a pavilion and a paved sidewalk around the playground. It has rubber flooring.

The second place structure (a short walk into the park – across from the pond) is much smaller and would be suited for the younger kids. The playground is not in the best shape during our visit. The zip line was broken and the coloring is super faded. The swings will only fit infants. The ground cover is wood chips at this playground. There is a covered a pavilion with many picnic tables and a Little Free Library box, as well.

The third one is a hidden playground located by the soccer fields. On social media, one mom even said it was her family’s favorite.

The pavilions provide shade and trees along the outside of the playground help, too; otherwise there is no shade over the equipment.

The entire park features paved walking trails and a pond, making it a great spot for wildlife viewing. It’s also a perfect place to walk your dog, go for a run, ride your bike, or simply enjoy the outdoors.
