Dewey Park
Description
Dewey Park is a long, narrow park with a fun, little playground. I’m most familiar with Dewey because of its awesome dog park, but the playground is great, too. It’s a mix of sand and rubber padded ground cover. The play equipment includes two racer slides and a swirly slide, a teeter totter, and a bouncer. For kids who love to climb, this playground has a pretty unique climbing web that looks like an upside down tennis racket (fitting since there are so many tennis courts nearby). There’s also a little climbing wall.
Park features include the aforementioned dog park (it’s turf ground cover there, with a small dog side and a big dog side), horse shoe courts, and a lot of tall trees covering picnic tables. The trees don’t really cover the play equipment, though. The equipment itself provides some shade.
