Description

Andersen Park Fields’ playground is primarily a playground for families who have a few hours of baseball to look forward to. It’s tucked between fields.

The ground cover is all rubber. There are several slides, including racer slides and a really tall slide. There are also several swings, both traditional and baby swings. There’s a small xylophone to play, though not mallet or stick to play it with.

Everything is in pretty good condition. Well, the rubber flooring is beaten up.

There are plenty of places to sit down, with a large pavilion nearby covering several picnic tables. While the tables are shaded, the playground itself is not.

Important Information

Important Information
The playground is located at 13625 Cottner St. in the middle of Andersen Park Fields.

Additional Info

Additional Information
- There's plenty of parking, thanks to having so many baseball fields nearby.
- Bathrooms are located by the concession stand. There's a good chance they're only open seasonally and during games.
- Hungry? In addition to the concession stand, there’s a Dairy Queen nearby (but it always seems to be closed whenever I've tried to go). Lots of fast food nearby, including McDonald’s, Runza, Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, and Burger King. For lunch or dinner, I highly recommend local restaurants like Pla Too Thai Cuisine or Sgt. Peffer's Cafe.
