27 Omaha Fish Fries To Try In 2026

Located at 2901 Fontenelle Blvd., Holy Name hosts its annual Fish Fry kicks off on Feb. 13 and runs every Friday through March 27. Hours are 4:30 to 8 p.m. Considered one of Omaha’s premier fish fries, politicians are known to frequent, looking to shake a few hands and win votes.  

Note: In 2026, they're celebrating 45 years of fish fries!

Bring your own drink if you prefer, but adult beverages will be sold inside the fish fry. Holy Name traditionally serves all-you-can-eat Alaska pollock. If you prefer not to wait in line, it’s recommended you arrive early. People arriving at 6 p.m. can expect a substantial wait.

Call St. Vincent de Paul the Fish and more Fry. With a menu featuring fried and baked fish, macaroni and cheese, and cheese pizza, your family will be challenged not find something for dinner on which everyone will agree. Dinners also come with coleslaw, bread and french fries or baked potato. Don’t forget to enjoy dessert while you’re there.

The fish fry is held every Friday during Lent starting on Feb. 20, 2026, at 14330 Eagle Run Drive. Fish Fry runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dine-In or Carryout available. Adult beverages and soda are available for dine-in. All meal prices include sales tax. Credit cards accepted.

St. Gerald Parish, near 96th and Q streets, hosts its annual fish fry on Friday nights during Lent starting Feb. 20, 2026. They're one of the early starting fish fries. Hours are from 4 to 7 p.m.

Offering a menu of fried cod, baked tilapia, and fried shrimp, dinners come with a side of french fries or baked potato, coleslaw or salad with bread. For non-fish diners, the parish offers cheese pizza and macaroni and cheese. 

Regularly named as one of the best fish fries in Omaha, Mary Our Queen offers a menu of fried and baked fish, french fries or fried spudsters, coleslaw, as well as a mac and cheese option. Mary Our Queen is located at 3405 S. 118th St.

Note: Kids under 5 eat free.

The Elkhorn parish includes live music in the gym along with TVs, face painting, clowns, ballon annimals, and appetizers (Fried Shrimp and Mozzarella sticks). Their fish fries start Feb. 20, 2026, and run through March 27. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m.

Menu includes Fried or Baked Pollock, Cheese Pizza, French Fries, Mac & Cheese, Green Beans, Coleslaw, Roll, and Soft Serve Ice Cream. Soda, Beer, wine, Margaritas also available.

There will also be raffle prizes, pickles cards, and the Famous Meat Wheel. St. Patrick Catholic Church, 20500 West Maple Road.

Holy Ghost typically begins the season with a Pre-Lenten Fish Fry (Feb. 13), followed by fish fries each Friday through Lent (except Good Friday). The Pre-Lenten Fish Fry is Feb. 13from 4 to 8 p.m. Fish Fry Menu includes baked and fried cod, shrimp, mac and cheese, and clam Chowder. Fish fries are from 4 to 8 p.m. Dinners range from $10-$15; seniors get a $2 off discount.

The church is located at 5223 Q St.

There will be fish fries every Friday through Lent running from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the gym. The first one is Feb. 20. The church is located at 7790 S. 192nd St., Gretna.

St. Pius X Pasta Fridays from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at 6905 Blondo St., starting Feb. 27, 2026 and running through March 20. Menu: Choice of five meatless sauces, variety of pastas, Macaroni and cheese or cheese pizza. Cost is $14 for adults, $10 for seniors, $8 for teens, $7 for kids, and $40 for a family (two adults and their children).

St. Matthew the Evangelist, 12210 S. 36th St., Bellevue, Neb., holds its Fish Fry on Fridays during Lent from 5 to 7 p.m. in the parish gymnasium. It kicks off on Feb. 20, 2026 and runs throuhg March 27. Carry-out is available from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

The entrees include Fried & Baked Fish, Fried Shrimp, Baked Salmon (amounts are limited), Cheese Pizza, Tortellini, and Mac-n-Cheese. The sides include Clam Chowder, French Fries, Baked Potato, Coleslaw, and Bread. The St Matthew’s women’s group is providing home-baked goods for dessert. A cash bar is also available.

Prices are: Fried Fish Dinner ($14, $11, and $8), Baked Fish Dinner ($14), and Baked Salmon Dinner ($17). Prices for Fried Shrimp, Cheese Pizza, Tortellini, and Mac-n Cheese Dinners are $13 and $8.

Head southwest of Omaha for the St. Joseph Catholic Church Knights of Columbus No. 10894 Fish Fry at the St. Joseph Hall at 100 Ninth St., Springfield, Neb. 2026 Dinners are Fridays, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 27, March 6, 13, and 20.

Choice of baked or fried fish, shrimp, french fries or baked potato, green beans, roll, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese or cheese pizza for kids, Ladies’ Guild desserts, ice cream, $2 beer, $1 pop, drinks, Calcutta, meat wheel. Dine-in and carryout. Meal cost: Adults $15, kids 15 and under $5.

With a menu of fried and baked fish with fries or baked potato and coleslaw or macaroni and cheese, visitors to the Croatian Cultural Society of Omaha can also learn more about the area’s Croatian heritage. Fish fries are held on Friday during the 2026 season, Feb. 20 through April 3. Hours are 4 to 7 p.m.

The fish fry is known for its large portions of fried and baked fish, as well as macaroni and cheese and dessert. Each entrée comes with three pieces of fish, so you can also make it a combo with two pieces of fried and one piece of baked, or vice versa. The meals come with mac & cheese, homemade coleslaw with sweet dressing, french fries OR baked potato & condiments. The Croatian Cultural Society accepts credit cards. Meals are $14.

Fish Frys are Fridays through Lent from 4:30 to 8 p.m. in the Autism Center Gym, 90th and Q streets. Menu includes fried cod, walleye, bang bang shrimp, appetizers and desserts.

Bringing a Mediterranean flavor to the traditional fish fry, St. John the Baptist features a menu of fried and baked cod, salmon, shrimp, and spanakopita (spinach pie). Don’t forget to enjoy a tasty Greek dessert. The 2026 season runs from Feb. 20 through March 27. Dine-in and takeout fish fries from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

In the past, St. James & St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Churches' Knights of Columbus hold fish fries on alternating Fridays during Lent. It looks like St. James hosts the first one on Feb. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Fish fries for St. James are at 4710 N. 90th St. in the gym.

In the past, St. James & St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Churches' Knights of Columbus will hold fish fries on alternating Fridays during Lent. They don't have their calendar updated for 2026 fish fries, but St. James has it marked down for hosting the Feb. 20 fish fry, so I'd bet the Feb. 27 fish fry is at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

Fish fries for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton are at 5419 N. 114th St. in the parish center.

Church of the Holy Spirit will have Lenten fish fries on Fridays from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the St John the Baptist School Gym, 500 S. 18th St., Plattsmouth. In the past, there was typically live entertainment from 5 to 7 p.m. No fish fry is held on Good Friday.

Entree choices are fried Alaskan Pollock, baked salmon, and fried shrimp. All meals include cole slaw, bread, dessert or ice cream.

Gretna American Legion Post 216 will have a fish fry every Friday during Lent from 5 to 8 p.m. at 11690 S. 216th St., Grena, Neb. The Gretna Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a fish fry fundraiser on Feb. 13, andthen all the following ones are by the Legion. Meals are all-you-can-eat; draft Bud Light available for purchase.

Ashland American Legion holds a fish fry every Friday during the season from 5 to 8 p.m. at 1541 Silver St., Ashland. All-you-can-eat fish dinners (carp, pollock and catfish) include fries, baked beans, coleslaw, mac & cheese, and bread. Dine-in meals are all-you-can-eat.

Monolithic Brewing typically hosts Fish Fry Fridays at 4915 N. 120th St., Suite 102. The fish fries are held every Friday from during Lent and run from 4 to 7 p.m. (doors open at 3 p.m.). Not official dates of been announced for 2026, though.

Meal includes two pieces of beer battered cod, tartar sauce, malt vinegar, and kettle cooked potato chips. And of course, fresh beer. Dine-in or carry-out available.

Who’s ready to save a fish? The St. Stanislaus Men’s Club hosts their popular “Save A Fish….Eat Pasta!” Lenten dinners. It's the only local Lenten dinner featuring pasta, pizza, and pierogi! The 2026 dates haven't been announced yet.

The Men’s Club usually serves Orsi's pizza, also pasta, pierogi, salad, and desserts on three Lenten Fridays. Serving time will be from 5:30-7:00pm. There will be seating in the hall and "To Go" is available, also. Cash or check ONLY.

Menu includes pasta with your choice of red sauce or beer cheese (all you can eat) and comes with salad and breadstick; beverage (water, pop, or beer) is included. Handmade pierogi (potato or kraut), pizza by the slice and desserts available to purchase a la carte.

St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Parish Hall, 41st and J streets.

Lenten dinners are every Friday through Lent typically from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at St. Wenceslaus Church, 15353 Pacific St. No dates have been added to their 2026 calendar, though.

Entrees: Spaghetti Dinner with Marinara or Beer Cheese Sauce, Baked Fish Dinner, Pizza Slice Dinner, and Mac & Cheese Dinner. Sids are salad, coleslaw, tater tots, breadstick and cookies. Beverages are available.

St. Stephen The Martyr: 16701 S Street, in Omaha, will host Lenten dinners from 5 to 8 p.m. every Friday during Lent. No dates have been announced for 2026 yet.

The menu features baked salmon, fried fish and shrimp, coleslaw, fries and baked potato, cheese pizza, macaroni and cheese, rolls and beverages. Dinners will be available for either dine-in or takeout.

The Knights of Columbus of St. Mary will be offering fish dinners on Fridays during Lent from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Knights Event Center, 1020 Lincoln Road, Bellevue, Neb.

Menu includes Baked Atlantic salmon, Fried Jumbo Shrimp, Fried Fish, Fried Fish Sandwich, and Cheese-stuffed pasta, with sides. A la carte offerings include Grilled Cheese, Fish Sandwich, or a large slice of Cheese Pizza. Dine-in, take-out and drive-thru is available.

Fish Fries at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 5801 Oak Hills Drive, are held Fridays during Lent from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Choice of fried fish with french fries, or baked fish and baked potatoes, as well as grilled cheese, tomato soup, and mac & cheese. Dine in or drive-thru.

St. John’s the Evangelist, 307 E. Meigs St., Valley, Neb., holds Fish Fries every Friday in March, from 5 to 8 p.m. Dinner is choice of shrimp, carp or pollock with homemade coleslaw, bread, and baked potato or chips! Kids can get Mac & Cheese. Beverages and desserts available. Dine in or call for take-out at (402) 359-5217.

St. Francis Borgia, 2005 Davis Drive, Blair, Neb., holds a Fish Fry every Friday through Lent from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Social Hall.

Menu: Beer Battered Cod, Breaded Butterfly Shrimp, and Seasoned Baked Tilapia, as well as Mac & Cheese, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Baked Potatoes, homemade desserts, and beverages. Dine in or carry-out.
