Nelson Produce Farm's Sixth Annual Watermelon Festival will be held over two weekends: Aug. 3 & 4 and Aug. 10 & 11. Highlights include the farm's famous watermelon slushie, watermelon bus rides, watermelon eating contest, seed spitting contest, hayrack ride, face painting, Tri-ath-melon, all-you-can-eat watermelon buffet, exploding watermelon, and live music.
Nelson Produce Farm will celebrate the Fourth of July on June 28. Activities include a 100-foot slip n slide, and yard games like potato sack races and corn hole tournaments. There will also be a fireworks show.
