Omaha Rising Festival Vol. 2 is an all-day, all-ages festival in Downtown Omaha featuring live music, comedy and circus acts, kids activities and games, food trucks and more. The headliner is Rock a la Carte, a Queen tribute band. Other bands playing include Gallivant, Public Figure, Names without Numbers, Garst and Blandford.
Omaha Community Playhouse presents an evening of musical performances celebrating summer, musical theater and community. Rockin' The Riverfront will be July 17 and Aug. 14 featuring selections from the 2023-2024 season, performances by Shirlee & Henry Fonda Theatre Academy students, and some throwbacks from the previous season. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
The 20th season of Playing With Fire features free, live music from the hottest blues-influenced bands worldwide July 11-13. Blankets, chairs, and picnics are welcome at this all-ages event. It's at a new location in 2024: Gene Leahy Mall.

The Water Lantern Festival will be held at Gene Leahy Mall in downtown Omaha. There will be food trucks and music starting at 6 p.m. Visitors design lanterns at 8:30 p.m. and the lantern launch will be from 9 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $26.98-$55.99; kids 7 and younger are FREE.
