Chances are good you’ve had a Reuben sandwich if you’ve been to Omaha. We do claim to be the city that originated the Reuben. Not everyone’s lucky enough to be in Omaha to taste the original, though, so for you, a Reuben recipe will have to do.

A Reuben traditionally is corned beef, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing between two slices of rye bread. The things about Reubens, though, is that not everyone likes sauerkraut or rye bread or beef. So there are variations to try. A LOT of variations. And that’s where this round-up comes in.
When the Food Network airs a show highlighting the best of deli sandwiches, you'd better believe they'd include the Reuben sandwich. Zingerman's Delicatessen from Michigan shared their Reuben recipe, and by the looks of it, it's perfection.
It's also time intensive if you're making the dressing from scratch. Plan accordingly.
