There are several annual events in Omaha you can expect every Father’s Day Weekend like the NCAA Men’s College World Series games and the Father’s Day Weekend Car Show. And each year, new events are created to add to the festivities. All this to say: There’s plenty of fun things to do to celebrate Father’s Day! Keep reading for this year’s celebrations and dad-centric events.

If you have young children, there are activities ahead of Father’s Day that will allow your kiddo to make a gift. Homespun Trading Post, 2012 N. 117th St., suite 102, offers a Father’s Day Handprint Craft Activity on June 14 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Kids will create a “Best Dad Ever Hands Down” wooden plaque with their handprints. Cost is $10; all supplies included. Kids can decorate a mug for dads at Learning Express, 120 Regency Parkway, on June 14 at 11 a.m. The activity is free, while supplies last.
Car shows are popular on Father’s Day Weekend. Each year, the Father’s Day Classic Car Show is held at Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum. The event this year is June 15 & 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Take Dad to participate in some friendly competitions. Trucks & Taps hosts the Dad Bod Contest on June 15. Fun-Plex, 7003 Q St., hosts the Father’s Day Flop Contest on June 16 at 11 a.m. Winner gets bragging rights and season passes! Also, dads get $15 off all-day tickets on Father’s Day.
Dave & Buster’s, 2502 S. 133rd Plaza, Suite 111, hosts the arcade showdown Dad Games on June 16 from noon to 2 p.m. Show your family spirit with matching T-shirts, team colors, or themed-family outfits. Winner receives free gameplay for a year. Tickets start at $34.74 per person (kids under 2 are free), including entry to The Dad Games, access to an appetizer banquet, unlimited soft drinks, and a $20 Power Card. Plus, dads get unlimited video games.
Mouth of the South (Old Market), 1111 Harney St., will have Father’s Day Brunch on June 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as live music. Brunch includes a prime rib au jus carving station, mac & cheese bar, and a low-country shrimp boil. Cost is $42 for adults, $16 for kids (ages 6-12), and $5 for kids 5 and under. Reservations recommended.

- Dads climb free on June 16 at TreeRush Adventures at Fontenelle Forest when joined by his family. Plus, each dad will receive a special carabiner coffee mug or T-shirt. Be sure to use code DadsRule24; it’s only valid with the purchase of another Main Park ticket and can only be used once per reservation.
- Dingerville ’24 is June 14-18 on the street in front of Kros Strain Draft Works, 1209 Millwork Ave. (it’s pretty near Charles Schwab Stadium, home to the men’s CWS). There will be live music between games, as well as food trucks.
- The 31st Annual Testicle Festival is held on the Saturday of Father’s Day Weekend each year at Round the Bend Steakhouse, 30801 E. Park Highway in Ashland. This year, it’s June 15 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and include live music. Cover is $10. Military men and women, as well as kids ages 12 and under, are free.
- Omaha Children’s Museum, 500 S. 20th St., holds Take Me Out To The Ball Game Family Fun Weekend during regular museum hours June 14-16. Activities are included with admission.
