Zoology for Beginners

Zoology for Beginners is an introduction to animal classification, physical and behavioral animal adaptations and how naturalists care for Ambassador Animals. Participants will meet live animals and participate in animal-related activities. Each session will last approximately 1 hour. Sessions are held at the newly renovated James Family Conservatory & Nature Center at Mahoney State Park.

This program is free and open to the public, but a 2025 Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for entry. 2025 park passes can be purchased at the park entrance.
