“Wicked Plants” is on display Oct. 3-31 at Lauritzen Gardens. Discover the dark side of nature in this fascinating exhibit showcasing some of the most notorious members of the plant kingdom. While many plants nurture and sustain life, others have evolved surprising, and sometimes sinister, ways to survive.
Discover living specimens that poison, paralyze, puncture, intoxicate, and otherwise offend. From familiar houseplants to more exotic curiosities, this intriguing display reveals how certain species earned their bad reputations. Explore the science behind their defenses and adaptations, and uncover the unexpected dangers hiding in the botanical world.
