Viva Frida
August 21 @ 9:30 am – 5:30 pm
Midwest Frida Fest presents “Viva Frida: A Living Altar And Curated Exhibition” from Aug. 21 through Sept. 4 at Clover24. Opening Reception is Aug. 21 (times TBA).
The immersive, curated gallery exhibition celebrates the life, art, resilience, symbolism, and enduring influence of Frida Kahlo. There will be original Frida-inspired artwork from regional artists living altars and ofrendas, immersive installations, and Frida’s Garden. There will also be handmade adornments, sacred objects, and curated collections from The House of the Raven.
Visitors are encouraged to channel their own inner Frida by adorning themselves in flowers, vibrant colors, meaningful jewelry, crowns, and personal style as we celebrate the beauty of individual expression.
