The presentation “The Art of Burlesque Costuming” will be held Dec. 11 at Joslyn Castle Carriage House. Join Iona Fortune, a burlesque dancer and art historian, as she dissects the history behind the costumes so lovingly worn—and taken off— by burlesque performers. From the 1890s to the 1990s, North American burlesque was a staple of entertainment, showcasing quick-reveal and slow-peel costumes that influenced the stage and screen.
