The Durham Museum Speaker Series features “Train Rides, Tall Tales and Tailgates: A History of the Cornhusker Club Pullman Railcar” with Cat Kratville-Wrinn on Feb. 27.
From its early years as a Pullman observation car, rumors of its inclusion in President Truman’s whistlestop tour and frequent trips to Lincoln for Nebraska football games, learn how the The Durham’s Cornhusker Club Pullman came to the museum. Hear these stories from Kratville-Wrinn, who grew up riding the Cornhusker Club Car all over the U.S. and Canada and is the daughter of fourth-generation railroader Bill Kratville.
The event includes a social hour beginning at 5 p.m., with the presentation to follow at 6:30. Social hour will include light hors d’oeuvres (while supplies last) and a cash bar. This event is FREE for museum members; regular-admission rates apply for non-members. Registration is required.
