Joslyn Castle & Gardens and Cathedral Arts Project Omaha partner with Flatwater Shakespeare Company to present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on the castle lawn this summer. Performances are June 30 and July 1. Ticket proceeds go to support the actors and actresses of Flatwater as well as scholarships for K-12 students in the Omaha area endeavoring to bring Shakespeare to a modern world.
- The June 30th performances is tickets — $20-$25 for adults, and free for children up to eighth grade. Stephen M. Buhler, Resident Scholar of Flatwater Shakespeare Co. and the Aaron Douglas Professor of English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will present the lecture “Shakespeare’s Elemental Spirits and Faerie Folklore” at 6:30 p.m. prior to the performance.
- The July 1st performance is a public performance and is free with reservations.
