Second Sunday Talks: Father Flanagan

The Douglas County Historical Society’s Second Sunday Talks features “Father Flanagan of Boys Town: A Man of Vision” on March 8. Authors Hugh Reilly and Dr. Kevin Warneke will talk about their book, “Father Flanagan of Boys Town: A Man of Vision.” It is a biography of Father Edward Flanagan’s birth in rural Ireland, the founding and growth of his world-famous Boys Town, and his global travels following World War II to advocate for youth. Mike Jedlicka will show a quick movie and discuss the canonization efforts and progress to date to make Fr. Flanagan a Saint.

The talk will be at the MCC Fort Omaha Campus Building 10.
