Ralston’s 66th annual Independence Day Celebration is July 3 and 4. This year’s theme is America’s 250th Birthday. More events TBA.
Schedule:
FRIDAY
- 4 – 6:30 pm – Archives Museum Open House, 5515 Woodlawn Ave.
- 5:30 – 7:30 pm – Picnic on the Green at Granary Green, 7401 Main St.
- 7 – 9:30 pm – Family Street Dance, 77th and Main streets
- 8:30 – 11:30 pm – Lemon Fresh Days Concert at Granary Green, 7401 Main St. 21+ event
- 10 pm – Fireworks show at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena, 73rd and Q streets
SATURDAY
- 7:30 – 9 am – Optimist Fun Run/Walk
- 10 – 10:30 am – Children’s Parade at Independence Square. Walk from 77th and Main streets to 75th and Main streets and back)
- 10:30 am – LaDonna Johnson Fountain Dedication at Independence Square
- 1 pm – Parade through Ralston, start at 80th and Highland streets, east on Oakwood, turns into Miller Avenue, east on Main Street, ends at Main and 73rd streets
- 3:30 – 4:30 pm – Fire Department Water Fights at Independence Square
- 3:30 – 4:30 pm – After Parade Cool Down Party at Granary Green
