“Oh, To Be A Kid Again”
August 7 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Holland Community Opera Fellow Abz Cameron’s participatory installation “Oh, to Be a Kid Again” is at Clover24 from Aug. 7-21. The installation centers on a sense of childlike wonder and what it means to carry into adulthood. Bright colors, bold graphic designs, and familiar imagery invite you to slow down and connect with your inner dreamer… step inside a cloud, walk across hand-made rugs, draw on the walls, and add to a creature corner built by the community. Through hands-on engagement, guests are invited to play, dream, stay curious, and get their heads in the clouds.
The Opening Reception is Aug. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. Explore the installation, connect with the community, and attend an artist talk and Q&A with the artist. It’s free and open to the public.
Gallery hours are Monday through from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Aug. 10 & 17 from 1 to 4 p.m., drop in for a slower, quieter gallery experience with the artist. All are welcome, and these hours are designed with accessibility in mind.
