The National Park Service’s Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail presents the first, Lewis and Clark Expo on Oct. 4 and 5 on the Riverfront Plaza and Lawn just south of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail’s Visitor Center and north of Lewis and Clark Landing.
The expo is a free, family-friendly event that will host several organizations. The event’s highlight is the Lewis & Clark Discovery Expedition of Saint Charles, Mo., bringing a one-of-a-kind replica Keelboat and their team of dedicated reenactors to the Omaha Riverfront. The reenactors will teach heritage through living history, recreating the buckskin and uniform dress of 1804, sleeping under canvas, cooking over campfires, and so many more educational demonstrations.
There will be several free exhibits, demonstrations, and entertainment from a number of organizations including the National Park Service.
