Hitch Hike

September 26, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Hitch Hikes are designed to introduce visitors to Hitchcock Nature Center as well as the Loess Hills. The series begins with a moderate-level hike and will get progressively more challenging as they build up to more difficult and longer hikes in the fall. Pre-registration is not required for this event, although free-will donations will be accepted and used to fund additional free and low-cost public programming at county parks. Hikes are included with the $5 park entry or a park membership.

Weather permitting. Please meet us at the Loess Hills Lodge. Well-behaved dogs are permitted to accompany their owners but must be leashed at all times. Water bottles, bug spray, & sunblock are all recommended. Please dress for the weather & wear appropriate footwear.
