“Gathering,” a collaborative exhibition organized by Valerie St. Pierre Smith, considers the act of gathering–gathering kin, gathering medicine, gathering songs–as an embodied practice that uplifts indigenous lifeways and ancestral healing practices. The event, Gathering: Stone Soup, celebrates the exhibition opening with Stone Soup. Registration is appreciated but not necessary to participate. It’s free to attend.
Bring one vegan soup ingredient to the event, during which Chef Casey will prepare it and add it to the soup, served free of charge. Please bring your own mug for soup; utensils will be provided.
