Fishing For Younger Friends is a program is designed to get early outdoorsy types into fishing. Children ages 3-5 years will learn the names of some common Nebraska fish, make a fish print and learn to cast by playing Backyard Bass. Following the program, those who want to try fishing in the lake can see how they do. The bait and smaller-sized fishing poles will be provided.
Grown-ups (16+) who choose to fish with their children need to have a valid Nebraska Fishing License. Adult supervision is required and tag-along siblings are welcome to join us.
*** Programs are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Youth must be accompanied by an adult. Please dress appropriately for the activity & the weather. Programs are free unless a fee is noted. Park sticker required to enter parks.
