“Empowerment in Special Education Conference and Resource Day: Information, Advocacy and Action” is April 18.
Families, caregivers, teachers, service providers, college students, and community members are all invited to a day of learning, connection, and inspiration. Enjoy engaging sessions on topics like advocacy, teaming up with school staff, supporting children with anxiety, and learning about opportunities fun recreational activities for children of all abilities — all designed to help families and professionals grow together.
Local organizations will host tables with information about how they support and celebrate the abilities of all students. Local researchers will share results from recent studies.
