Lake Cunningham will celebrate Earth Day with family-friendly outdoor activities, a community village, food trucks, and prizes. The community village features outdoor activities and opportunities to learn about environmental sustainability, horticulture, regenerative agriculture, wildlife, outdoor recreation, and more. Participate in fishing, archery, arts and crafts, and enjoy s’mores by the campfire.
Some of the organizations hat will be at the event include Community Bike Project Omaha, Omaha Permaculture, Pollinator Alliance of the Heartland, Moore’s Landscaping & Nursery, Saving Grace Perishable Food Rescue, Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society, Nebraska Extension Office, and Earth Sculptors.
It’s all free and open to the public, and will be held at Lake Cunningham Entrance 1 at the Marina.
