The Doggy Days of Fall Costume Contest is Oct. 29 at Ditmars Orchard & Vineyard, and the only time pets are allowed to visit the orchard. Dog registration is from noon to 1 .m. The parade starts at 1:15 and awards given out at 1:45 p.m. Cost is $10 per dog; net proceeds from the parade go to the Nebraska Humane society. Dogs must be friendly and on a leash at all times.
Orchard hours that day are noon to 4 p.m.
