Joslyn Castle & Gardens will host two events around fashion.
- April 3 from 5 to 9 p.m.: Conscious Collections Clothing Swap & Viewing Party. Swap Omaha at the Joslyn Castle Carriage House for a night of community, connection and understanding just how exploitative the fashion industry is. Plus, you get to swap your pre-loved pieces for some new to you goodies. Tickets are $20.
- April 6 from 3 to 6 p.m.: Conscious Collections Fest Mend n Mingle. This visible mending workshop will be led by upcycle designer, Nicole, from Elsie’s Attic. In addition to Nicole leading participants through this mending workshop, attendees will have the option to drop off quick mends (ie., fixes like, a ripped seam, replacing buttons, patching a small hole and general mends that don’t require tailoring) to a handful of local, upcycle designers for a small fee. Tickets are $15.
